Flat printed characters

There are no raised digits on a printed plate. The black characters sit flat on the reflective backing. Choose white for the front, yellow for the rear, or both for a pair.

Replacing just one plate?

Select Front for a white plate or Rear for a yellow plate. You do not have to buy a pair. Match the size to the plate you are replacing and enter the registration exactly as it appears on your entitlement document.

When to choose printed

Printed is the flat finish in our range. If you want raised characters instead, 3D Gel has a rounded face and 4D acrylic has a flat face with straight edges. Changing the finish does not change the registration itself.

Can I buy a single plate?

Yes. Choose Front, Rear or Front & Rear in the builder. The displayed total updates to match your selection.

Which options are suitable for the road?

Raised black characters are allowed. Road plates still need the correct lettering, spacing, reflective background and supplier and British Standard markings. Carbon Gel, tinted plates and custom spacing are for show use only.

What documents will I need?

We need proof of your name and address, plus proof that you can use the registration. A driving licence and a matching V5C are one example. A V750 or V778 can also prove entitlement. Our document guide explains the alternatives.
