BEFORE YOU ORDER

Sizes, documents and road use

Find the right size and check which documents you’ll need before ordering.

Which plate size do I need?

Measure your existing plates and check the available space on your vehicle. Standard car plates are 520 × 111mm. Shorter sizes depend on your registration’s character count; the builder shows compatible options.

What documents do I need?

We need proof of your name and address, plus proof that you can use the registration. A driving licence and a matching V5C are one example. A V750 or V778 can also prove entitlement. Our document guide explains the alternatives.

Are all configurations road legal?

Raised black characters are allowed. Road plates still need the correct lettering, spacing, reflective background and supplier and British Standard markings. Carbon Gel, tinted plates and custom spacing are for show use only.
