What are show plates?.
Show plates are for display, not public-road use. On our builder, Carbon Gel, tinted plates and custom spacing are show-only choices.
Which options are show-only?
Carbon Gel, tinted plates and custom registration spacing are not road legal. They are display options in our builder. The preview removes the road-use supplier and British Standard footer when these options are selected.
What makes a road plate different?
For current road plates, characters must be a single shade of black on a reflective white front or yellow rear background. The plate must meet the character, spacing and marking requirements. Raised lettering is allowed, but that does not make every raised finish or small plate legal.
What if I need plates for road use?
A show-only plate should not be used as the vehicle’s registration plate on a public road. Choose a road-suitable configuration for driving, and use the contact form if you need help identifying an option.
