Angled ends

A Hex plate has a different outline from a rectangle. Make sure the angled ends cover your mounting points and clear any surrounding trim. The front and rear can need different sizes.

Fitting a Hex plate

The angled ends can expose fixing holes that a rectangular plate covered. Measure the mounting points and the recess on the vehicle. Our standard rectangular holders are not offered for Hex plates.

Choosing the digit finish

Choose your Hex size in the builder, then pick from the finishes it supports. Your registration must fit with the required character size and spacing; the angled ends do not create extra room for letters.

Can I buy a single plate?

Yes. Choose Front, Rear or Front & Rear in the builder. The displayed total updates to match your selection.

Which options are suitable for the road?

Raised black characters are allowed. Road plates still need the correct lettering, spacing, reflective background and supplier and British Standard markings. Carbon Gel, tinted plates and custom spacing are for show use only.

What documents will I need?

We need proof of your name and address, plus proof that you can use the registration. A driving licence and a matching V5C are one example. A V750 or V778 can also prove entitlement. Our document guide explains the alternatives.
